I am sitting here, past midnight, typing this update, just hours before we set sail to the Bahamas. I had plans to write this much earlier but we have been super busy getting the boat ready to set sail.
Our brand new engine (just 6 hours on it) had to be looked at again because it is still smoking. The techs cannot determine what exactly is wrong with it. They first said there was water in the fuel filter, then the fuel injectors were stuck, now we do not know what they think the reason is. Next item we worked on was the trampoline. Some of the O-rings where the support line went through started coming loose. We had to get the whole trampoline removed and all the rings replaced to ticker, sturdier ones. The trampoline is Kais’s favorite place to play. We want to make sure that it is safe.
A list of other things we’ve done to prepare for this trip are: we purchased a paddle board, a mavic pro platinum drone and maps. We removed things from the boat that we really didn’t need on it, like a fold-able bike which no longer functions, a space heater (we don’t need it because we have two Dometic AC/Heater installed on the boat), camping items and a whole bunch of other things we could not let go of when we moved from our home.

We were able to get Lila her passport and get plenty advice from our neighbors who have already been on the trip. We stocked the boat pretty well and we’re ready to cast the lines.
We’ll see you in the Bahamas!
